Founded by a seasoned veterinary receptionist, Pawsitive Reception was created to fill a major gap in vet med: the lack of structured, practical training for reception staff. Too often, new hires are thrown into chaos without the tools they need—and experienced staff are left burnt out trying to keep things running.
We’re changing that. Our comprehensive training program is built by receptionists, for receptionists, empowering teams with real-world tools, engaging education, and ongoing support to help new staff grow and current staff thrive.

Our Story
Pawsitive Reception was born out of lived experience, both the challenges and the love for the role.
Working as a veterinary receptionist for many years, I’ve seen firsthand how vital, and often overlooked, this role really is. Beyond answering phones and booking appointments, we’re managing inventory, processing insurance, supporting clients, and keeping the clinic running smoothly.
The problem? There was no solid system to train or support new reception staff. Too often, new hires felt overwhelmed and left the role altogether. I knew there could be a better way, to help prevent burnout in our already overworked staff members and give new hires the structure and support that’s needed.
I created Pawsitive Reception, a clear, supportive training program that recognizes the true scope of the job. Receptionists aren’t just receptionists. We’re client educators, multitaskers, emotional anchors, and essential team members. It’s time the training and recognition reflect the reality.
